Privacy Notice

This notice explains how SuretyPH handles the information you provide when applying for or tracking a surety bond.

1. Information we collect

We collect account details (name, email, mobile number), company and applicant information (registration numbers, licenses, addresses, contact persons), application data (principal, obligee, bond type, contract amount, bond percentage, validity, deadlines, project location and sector), uploaded supporting documents, quotation and payment records, and system logs of important actions.

2. How we use information

We use it to evaluate completeness of your application, prepare underwriting summaries, endorse your file to authorized issuing insurance companies, relay quotations, monitor payments, track issuance and renewals, respond to enquiries, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Disclosure to insurance partners

By submitting an application you authorize SuretyPH to disclose your application data and supporting documents to the authorized issuing insurance company or companies assigned to your file, for the purpose of evaluating and, where approved, issuing the requested bond.

4. Data Privacy Act compliance

We process personal information in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012) and its implementing rules, relying on your consent, contractual necessity, and legitimate interest as applicable.

5. Storage and security

Documents are stored in private, access-controlled storage. Access is limited by role: applicants see only their own records, while administrators and assigned insurance partners see records necessary for processing. Important actions are recorded in an audit log.

6. Retention

Application, bond, and payment records are retained for the period required by law, regulatory requirements, and legitimate business purposes, after which they are securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or erasure or blocking of your personal information, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Requests may be sent to our processing office.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your signed-in session. We do not sell personal information.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
